Managing VoIP Calling Packages
CoRecruit's VoIP calling packages let your team make unlimited calls to specific regions without worrying about per-minute charges. This article explains how packages work, how to assign them to team members, and what to expect for calls outside covered regions.
What are VoIP Calling Packages?
Calling packages are unlimited calling plans tied to specific geographic regions. Once your organization purchases a package through CoRecruit, it becomes available in your team's dashboard for admins and owners to assign to individual users.
To purchase a calling package, reach out to your account representative or the CoRecruit sales team. Purchased packages will appear automatically in your VoIP Calling Packages settings page, ready to assign. For more on how VoIP billing works overall, including phone number subscriptions and pay-as-you-go overages, see Billing, Packages & Usages.
The Free Package: United States & Canada
Every team that uses CoRecruit VoIP, including teams using the Caller ID feature automatically receives the Unlimited Calling Package – United States – Canada at no extra cost. This package is assigned to all team members by default, so calls to US and Canadian numbers are covered for your entire team from day one, with no action required.
Available Packages
Additional regional packages (such as packages for the United Kingdom – Europe, Australia – New Zealand, and Global) can be purchased separately and assigned to the users who need them. Your Packages Summary at the top of the VoIP Calling Packages page shows each package your team owns, how many seats are assigned, and how many remain available.
Not sure which package is right for your team's calling patterns? See the plan comparison table in Billing, Packages & Usages.
Assigning a Package to a Team Member
Only admins and owners can assign or revoke calling packages.
To assign a package:
- Go to Settings → VoIP Calling Packages
- Scroll to the Team Member Package Assignments section
- Find the team member you want to update and click the edit (pencil) icon
- Select the package(s) you want to assign and save
A single user can hold multiple packages simultaneously — for example, a recruiter covering both European and Australian candidates can have both the UK–Europe and Australia–New Zealand packages assigned at the same time.
Note: Only admins and owners can access VoIP settings. If you don't see the Settings gear icon or the VoIP Calling Packages tab, contact your team admin.
How Packages Apply Across Multiple Numbers
Calling packages are assigned to a user, not to a specific phone number. This means that if a user has multiple CoRecruit numbers, or uses the Caller ID feature, the package covers all inbound and outbound calls made by that user, regardless of which number the call originates from.
For example, if the Unlimited Calling Package – Australia – New Zealand is assigned to a user, calls to standard Australian and New Zealand mobile and landline numbers are free for that user across all of their CoRecruit numbers, including Caller ID.

Calls Outside Covered Regions
While the relevant calling package covers the vast majority of calls your team will practically need to make, some special calling zones within each region are not included. These calls are billed at pay-as-you-go per-minute rates, and rates vary depending on whether you're calling a landline or a mobile number.
You can review the full list of covered and excluded zones for each package at: 👉 corecruit.com/platform/voip-calling-rates
For a detailed pricing breakdown or to understand how overages are calculated and billed, see Billing, Packages & Usages or contact your account representative.
Revoking and Reassigning Packages
Packages can be revoked from a user and reassigned to another at any time, with no cooldown period. This is useful when team compositions change or when you need to reallocate a limited package to someone who needs it most.
To revoke a package, follow the same steps as assigning. Edit the user's package assignments and remove the relevant package. The seat will immediately become available for reassignment.
