This section covers costs, international calling, plan upgrades, and how to track your activity.

 

Unlimited Calling Packages and Rates

CoRecruit VoIP billing consists of two parts: the Phone Number (Line) and the Calling Package (Usage).

1. Phone Number Subscription

To place or receive calls, each user must have an active line.

  • Purchased Numbers: A monthly fee applies for each local or international number claimed through CoRecruit.
  • Verified Business Numbers: Even if you use your own existing business number as your Caller ID, it must be linked to a CoRecruit line to enable platform features like AI logging and recording. Standard line subscription fees apply.

2. Calling Packages and Rates

Once your line is active, usage is billed based on your package:

Every CoRecruit account includes Unlimited US & Canada calling by default. For other supported regions, you can add additional unlimited calling packages.

  • Regional Packages: You can add packages for specific regions (e.g., UK/Europe, Australia). These are purchased by contacting your Sales Rep or Account Manager.
  • Global Packages: Best for teams calling multiple international regions.
  • Pay-As-You-Go: Any call made to a region not covered by an unlimited package will be billed at the standard rate. Pay-as-you-go overages are calculated and billed monthly, regardless of your main subscription billing cycle. Check these rates on the CoRecruit Calling Rates Page.

Understanding Pay-As-You-Go Rates & Overages

If you call a country that isn't covered by your current Unlimited Package, or if you haven't purchased a package yet, you will be charged on a Pay-As-You-Go basis.

How Overages are Calculated

  • Per-Minute Billing: You are charged a flat rate for every minute the call is active.
  • Location is Important: Rates vary significantly depending on whether you are calling a Landline or a Mobile number.

Example: Calling a landline in Australia might cost US$0.13/min, while calling an Australian Mobile number costs US$0.38/min.

  • Live Directory: Because international calling rates change frequently based on global provider costs, we recommend checking our live rate sheet before making international calls.

If you find your team is frequently calling specific regions, switching to an Unlimited Plan is almost always more cost-effective.

Upgrading: Switching from Multiple packages > Global 

If your team is calling more than three international regions, switching to a Global Unlimited Package is usually the most cost-effective option.

How Billing Works (Proration)

When you upgrade mid-cycle, you only pay for what you use. We take the "unused days" from your old plans and apply them as a credit toward your new Global plan. You get immediate access and pay only the difference for the remaining days of the month.

How to Upgrade

  1. Request the Change: Reach out to your CoRecruit Account Manager. They will update your agreement to include the Global Package.
  2. Wait for Processing: Once the update is signed, the Global Package will automatically appear in your CoRecruit dashboard.
  3. Assign to Users: Go to Settings > VoIP, find the team member, and select the Global Package from their dropdown menu.

Viewing Billing and Usage

To keep track of your team's calling activity and costs, go to Settings > Billing & Usage. You can view a breakdown of:

  • Total Minutes: Usage breakdown across the whole team.
  • Overage Charges: Pay-As-You-Go fees for international calls.
  • Active Packages: Current regional or global unlimited plans.
  • Invoices: Monthly statements showing your base subscription plus any prorated additions or overage fees from the previous cycle.

Important Note on Billing & Annual Plans

If you have paid for a phone number upfront for the year, unassigning that number does not trigger a refund.

  • The number remains "owned" by your team for the duration of the contract.
  • You can reassign that number to a different team member at any time without extra cost.
  • If you release the number entirely, you will still be responsible for the remainder of the annual contract.
