8x8 Integration

CoRecruit supports an integration with 8x8, allowing you to automatically capture and transcribe recorded calls, generate meeting notes, and push them directly into your ATS or CRM — no manual entry required.

How to Set Up

Setup for CoRecruit’s integration with 8x8 requires the following:

  • API Key

  • API Secret

To obtain these:

  1. Log in to your 8x8 Admin Console

  2. Navigate to the API Keys section

  3. Generate and copy your API credentials

How it works

Once integrated:

  • 8x8 recordings are automatically pushed to CoRecruit

  • CoRecruit transcribes the audio and creates notes

  • CoRecruit uses the phone number from the call to match it with the correct candidate or contact in your ATS/CRM

  • Notes are automatically pushed into the matched record

All 8x8 calls processed by CoRecruit will default to your default meeting type.

How to Record calls

To make sure a call is processed by CoRecruit, it must be recorded in 8x8.

To manually record a call:

To ensure CoRecruit receives a recording to transcribe, you must manually start a recording during the call:

To record a call:

  1. While on a call in 8x8 Work for Desktop, click the More button (three dots)

  2. Select Record from the menu

  3. A recording notification bar will appear at the top of your call screen

  4. A voice prompt will notify both parties that the call is being recorded

To stop the recording:

    • Click Stop in the notification bar

    • A second voice prompt will confirm the recording has stopped

⚠️ Recording features are subscription-based and may require admin enablement. Recording laws vary by location — always notify the other party if required.


After the recording has been completed. The recording will be pushed to CoRecruit automatically.

With the a completed call, CoRecruit will use the phone number from the call to search your ATS/CRM for a candidate record, to then push the notes to record. When using the 8x8 integration all completed and recorded calls will default to your default meeting type.
